about

I picked up the flute for the first time in 2003. I knew instantly that it would be my greatest passion. I sought out musical opportunities - playing in youth orchestras and local competitions. In college, I had no doubts that I would pursue performance. I received my Bachelor of Music ('16) and Artist Certificate ('18) from Azusa Pacific University where I studied with Gary Woodward before settling in Boise, ID where I studied with Dr. Nicole Molumby and received my Master of Music from Boise State University in 2020.

Playing the flute has brought many amazing opportunities. In my travels, I have performed in Prague, taken lessons in Spain, and learned the tin whistle in Ireland. Most recently, I performed with the Yellow River Symphony in China. My love of teaching began early, with my first student when I was 16, and I have gone on to coach many students and flute sections. When teaching has become more accessible online, I had the opportunity as an adjunct professor for Azusa Pacific University from my home in Boise.

I continue to teach and perform in the Boise area. Most recently, I presented a workshop at the Spring Flute Fling by the Capital City Flute Club. I also recorded the premiere of a new unaccompanied work by composer Taylor Ross called "Tetra" that can be found here. I currently direct the Canyon County Flute Choir and teach from my studios located in both Boise and Nampa.
